After several teasers, Mercedes Benz and AMG tuning house presented the first official pictures and details of the expected publication of the new Black Series SL65 AMG. Located with a price between $ 320,000 and 309,000 euros, the new Mercedes has a new turbocharger V12 engine of 6.0 liters which reaches 661 horsepower at 5400 rpm, enough for a limited top speed of 300 km / h.

The energy is sent to the rear wheels through a new five-speed automatic transmission, equipped with the new system Speedshift of AMG, which allows changes in just 250 milliseconds to achieve an acceleration of 0 to 100 km / h in just 3.9 seconds.

This acceleration is possible due to a weight reduction program that allowed to remove approximately 250kg on andalusia SL65, leaving the car in total 1870 kg. The new Mercedes Benz SL65 AMG Black Series will be officially presented during the Paris Auto Salon in October before falling to the streets in early 2009.
